"Surely, those who believe, and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians, whoever have faith with true hearts in Allah and in the Last-day and do good deeds, their reward is with their Lord, and there shall be no fear for them nor any grief."  Qur'an 2:62

CIP In The News: W. Europe Director Al-Alawi on Tabligh Markaz mosque,  Dockland News, [London] December 6, 2006

Tabligh mosque from London Dockland News, December 6, 2006

A scan of the article "Mosque will be terror threat," from the London Dockland News, of December 6, is attached.

Center for Islamic Pluralism Western Europe Director Irfan al-Alawi is quoted therein, as follows:

" 'My main concerns are with the Tablighi Jamaat, who have always had connections to terrorist activities in Pakistan.

" 'We have a significant presence of Tablighi Jamaat in England, and we have found that Al Qaeda used them for recruiting, now and in the past.

"He added, 'A mosque for Tablighi Jamaat could incite a separate movement against other cultures and religions.

" 'All these concerns are matters the government has to think about very carefully.'"
