Eid al-Adha, A.H. 1431
by Stephen Suleyman Schwartz http://www.islamicpluralism.org/1672/eid-al-adha-ah-1431 The Center for Islamic Pluralism extends warm greetings to Muslims around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Hijri year 1431, which is scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 16, by the common calendar. Eid al-Adha, known to our correspondents and friends in the Balkans, Turkey, and Central Asia as Kurban Bayram, will mark the conclusion of the Hajj to Mecca and the offering of sacrificed meat for consumption by the community. CIP also expresses its best wishes to hujjaj who have completed the pilgrimage and to those who have contributed to the sacrifice. Eid Mubarak!
