CIP Appoints International Director Dr. Irfan Al-Alawi

The Center for Islamic Pluralism will be represented in Western Europe by Dr. Irfan al-Alawi. Dr. al-Alawi, Barrister at Law and Lecturer in Islamic Theology and Islamic Spirituality, resides in the UK. He is a distinguished scholar of Islam and expert on the preservation of Islamic cultural heritage. He has been notably active in opposing extremist Muslim trends such as Wahhabism and Deobandism in Britain.
