Urgent Bulletin: CIP Protests Chinese Government Cyber-War Against Uyghur Rights Activists
CIP http://www.islamicpluralism.org/401/urgent-bulletin-cip-protests-chinese-government-cyber-war The Center for Islamic Pluralism, with active groups and correspondents in more than 20 countries, protests strenuously against cyber-sabotage directed against the Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP), in the form of fake e-mails that contain computer viruses. CIP correspondents who may receive a message purporting to originate with the UHRP, should note that CIP has not handed over its e-mail correspondence list to anybody. The fake e-mail is titled "UHRP list" in the message line and has attached to it a document titled "Members.of.UHRP.doc." It is accompanied by a note typical of the illiterate and lawless Chinese authorities stating, "Salam! You can connect members of UHRP (Uyghur Human Rights Project) , they were working for the Uyghur Human Rights, and make lots of shocked event. You can find some of them form recently news. I'm sure you are the member of this Project ,because your name has appeared in this list! If you can't anderstand this, Don't ask any question, just delete your name from the list then send it to next person.." Anybody receiving such a message should delete it immediately. The Center for Islamic Pluralism fully supports the legitimate and righteous peaceful protests of our Muslim fellow-believers in Eastern Turkestan, who are oppressed by brutal Chinese imperialism. CIP notes that Uyghur activist Rebiya Kadeer has met with U.S. President George W. Bush. CIP further supports all Tibetan protests against the travesty of the Beijing Olympics and in opposition to Han chauvinism, as well as the defiance of the totalitarian Chinese dictatorship by the Buddhist Falun Gong movement. CIP calls for an activist united front of all religious and democratic forces against the continued misrule of the Chinese Communist-mafia bureaucracy, and stands ready to participate in and mobilize Muslims for any mass demonstrations, acts of peaceful civil disobedience, circulation of petitions, or lobbying efforts with the U.S. government that will secure the end of Chinese tyranny through boycott of Chinese goods, diplomatic isolation of the Beijing rogue regime, and other legal and peaceful measures. CIP will report Chinese cyber-war aggression against Uyghurs and their friends, CIP included, to U.S. authorities, and will press for full legal sanction against the Chinese regime and its internet thugs.
