The Iraqi daily Al-Sabah Al-Jadid is one of a range of media in the Arab world that covered the anti-Wahhabi demonstration at the Royal Saudi Embassy on October 22, 2007. In a report appearing October 24, Al-Sabah quoted Nizar Haidar of the Iraqi Information Center, who said that Iraqi representatives are preparing a letter to the Saudi government protesting against fatwas by Wahhabi clerics calling for the destruction of Shia holy sites in Iraq.

The Center for Islamic Pluralism has a cooperative relationship with Al-Sabah, in the defense of its journalistic freedom, supporting protection of its enterprise against terrorism, and developing proposals for publication of anti-extremist documentation in Arabic and English.
