CIP as Described by Saudi Hate Site Alsaha

"Stephen Schwartz is an eccentric man to those who do not know him. He changed his religion from Christianity to Judaism and finally he converted now to be a Shiite Muslim." [CIP Note: Multiple false statements. Stephen Schwartz never belonged to any Christian church and did not convert from Judaism to Islam. He is a Sunni Muslim, not a Shia.]

"He does not hesitate in attacking Wahhabism and Saudi Arabia to the degree that he blames them when any disaster arises. This writer greatly exploited the events of September 11 and attacked Saudi Arabia and Wahhabism aggressively. He started to instigate against Wahhabism with forged and fake accusations in the right wing media." [CIP Note: Also false. No research by Schwartz has been or can be challenged as false.]

"He has recently established a Center for Islamic Pluralism at this URL: www.islamicpluralism.org/

"In his Center's website, he investigates Wahhabi activities and reveals and lists numbers of organizations and centers in the US, describing them as supporters to Wahhabism.

"In one of his articles, he encourages support for the Shiites, siding with them, and not to be afraid of them. He argues that the Shiites are able to liberate the Arab and the Muslim world." [CIP Note: This is a distortion of Schwartz's views.]

"He also has strong relations with Shiites in Iraq.

"He recently published an article pointing out Terrorism in the Internet, describing Wahhabism as the most hostile enemy to democracy and Islamic pluralism. He also criticized an anti-Shiite website:
