The Center for Islamic Pluralism has received with great sorrow the news that Baba Tahir Emini, head of the community of Bektashi Sufis in Tetova, Macedonia, has died of a sudden heart attack.

The Center requests prayers and recitations for Baba Tahir, who was among the most progressive Muslim leaders in the world.
